Year-Round Reading Program
Not just for summer any more! Kids in grades K-12th and adults can complete reading cards and turn them in for prizes throughout the year. Pick up your reading card to get started at the front desk. Grand prizes awarded seasonally.
1,000 Books Before Kindergarten
When you sign up for 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten, you will:
- Be given a bookmark with pictures representing each book you’ve read.
- For each finished book, you will cross off a picture.
- After all the pictures have been marked off, bring in the bookmark.
1,000 books might seem like a lot, but if your child is less than a year old, you only need to read about one book every other day. If your child is four years old, you can read two books a day and still have 1,000 books before Kindergarten.
If you are interested, sign up at the front desk and receive your first reading packet Happy reading everyone!
Come check out all the cool faces of the children participating!
